There are moments in life when we realize that we are not only living our own story.
We are also continuing the story of those who came before us.
And, whether we intend to or not, we are shaping something that will remain for those who come after.
Much of The Way of Quiet Light has been about that realization.
It is about learning to move through the world thoughtfully. Quietly. Deliberately. Recognizing that the choices we make today may echo further than we can see.
Today I want to share the beginning of a new work connected directly to that journey.
I am calling it The Geneva Bible Project.

Why the Geneva Bible
The Geneva Bible, first printed in 1560, and later published in a widely known edition in 1599, emerged during the time of the Protestant Reformation.
It is a text that would have been familiar to the Pilgrims and Puritans, and to many of the early generations whose lives helped shape the modern world.
For many people, the Geneva Bible represents a moment in religious and cultural history.
But for me, the connection is also more personal.
My grandmother’s middle name was Geneva.
Today, my daughter also carries that same name.
Across generations, the name has continued forward in my family. When I began reflecting on what kind of work could become part of The Way of Quiet Light, the Geneva Bible felt like a natural foundation for study and reflection.
Not simply because of its history.
But because it represents a bridge between generations.
A Companion to The Way of Quiet Light
The Geneva Bible Project will be developed as a study companion to The Way of Quiet Light.
The goal is not to rewrite the text or reinterpret it through modern ideology.
Rather, the goal is to engage with it thoughtfully.
To study it.
To reflect on it.
And to build a structured guide that explores the text in a way that aligns with the philosophy of The Way of Quiet Light — humility, reflection, patience, and the pursuit of understanding.
Over time, the project will grow to include:
• A prepared working edition of the Geneva Bible for study
• A companion study guide connected to The Way of Quiet Light
• A future combined work bringing both together
This is not a short-term project.
It is something that will take time.
Careful reading.
Thoughtful reflection.
And patience.
🤝 Supporting the Project
Alongside this announcement, I have launched a funding campaign connected to the Geneva Bible Project.
This is not a traditional fundraising request.
The project itself will continue regardless.
However, support for the project helps make the work easier to carry forward by providing resources needed for the development process.
Support may go toward things such as:
• Hardware upgrades used for writing, editing, and production
• Software licenses used for formatting and publication
• Digital infrastructure used to organize and preserve the project
• Additional tools that may become necessary as the scope of the work becomes clearer
As the project grows, I will also publish updates outlining how the work is progressing and what resources are needed.

📖 Project Updates
As the Geneva Bible Project develops, I will be publishing updates documenting the progress of the work.
These updates will provide transparency about how the project is evolving and what steps are being taken as the study companion and working edition are developed.
Update #1 — Project Structure and Workflow
This first update explains the organizational structure of the project.
It outlines how the files are being organized, how the project materials are being divided into manageable sections, and how the workflow is being structured to allow the work to move forward carefully and methodically.
It also discusses the backup strategy being used to protect the project, including the use of multiple cloud storage systems and external backups to ensure the material remains secure.
Update #2 — Timeline and Long-Term Vision
The second update provides a broader overview of the timeline and long-term vision for the Geneva Bible Project.
It discusses the anticipated stages of development, including the preparation of the corrected text, the development of the study guide, and the eventual publication plans.
This update also provides an early estimate of when the first edition of the project may become available.
The Work Begins
Projects like this do not appear overnight.
They are built slowly.
Line by line.
Page by page.
Reflection by reflection.
But every long journey begins with a single step.
Today, that step begins.
The Geneva Bible Project is now underway.
And as the work progresses, I will continue sharing updates here through The Way of Quiet Light.
For those who feel drawn to support the project, or simply to follow along as it develops, I welcome you to walk this path with me.
Quietly.
Thoughtfully.
And with patience.
The work has begun. ✨
